From today, if your website isn’t smartphone or tablet friendly – responsive – Google won’t like it.
Nothing personal, just that with the numbers of people searching for and browsing sites on a device that’s not chained to the desktop, Google’s new algorithm means that it will rate sites that give users a good mobile experience more highly than those that don’t.
That means your non-mobile friendly site is going to fall off the perch, ranking wise, and appear somewhere in the wastelands of a Google search. It’s been dubbed ‘mobilegeddon‘ by the Guardian.
What to do? Get a responsive site, of course. All the sites we design are mobile friendly – and the chances are that if yours isn’t then it’s probably in need of a bit of TLC in any case. We can design a site for you that will look great on a phone or tablet – and keep your customers satisfied wherever they are.
